Leader apps adapting to iPad
Article date: April 13, 2012
In case you haven't heard, this iPad thing that Apple is hawking is something of a hit. When the new iPad was released in mid-March, they sold 3 million in less than a week. Since its initial rollout in April 2010, Apple has sold 55 million of them.
Late last year, Leader Services' Web Solutions group undertook an effort to get our CAMRA web application compatible with the iPad, releasing the result to our California clients in December.
"We've been getting more and more requests to support iPads for many of our web applications. CAMRA was relatively easy to adapt to the platform, so that's where we started," said department Director Daryl Davis.
Use of CAMRA on the iPad has been very well received by our clients, according to Account Manager Patti McIntyre. "A lot of my districts are using iPads now," said Patti. "They really do like it… it's the wave of the future."
Next up for Leader's iPad support initiative is the CATS system used in California for schools participating in the Medi-Cal Administrative Activities (MAA) program. The company hopes to have all changes completed for the start of the 2012-13 school year.
